Ave Maria Village is a licensed skilled provider offering 24/7 nursing care. We strive to meet our residents' needs every day by allowing them to maximize their choices and exercise control as much as possible. Our residents and their families are the key decision makers, with our staff assisting them along the way. Care plans are developed jointly by the resident, family, their physician and our staff, so that each individual’s needs are addressed.
Our activity team plans and arranges many programs, events, and social opportunities, which are available each day for those who wish to participate. A variety of groups meet for education, exercise, discussion, creative expression, entertainment, and recreation. Regularly scheduled religious services and Bible study are also available to help meet the spiritual and religious needs of those we serve.
Two licensed beauticians provide all hair care and salon services a resident may need or desire. Our contemporary beauty salon offers residents the same experience as going out to a local salon. Routine hair care such as haircuts and shampoo sets are included as part of a resident’s daily rate. There are modest additional fees for such services as coloring and perms.
Our cozy library is well-supplied with books of all genres, including many that are available in large print. An electronic magnifier is available for those who have significant vision impairment. The library offers residents a quiet place to relax with a good book, read the newspaper, or use the facility’s shared computer. Wireless internet is available to everyone throughout the building.
We have several common spaces where residents and their families and guests may gather. These include two comfortable family rooms that are furnished with a small dining table, couch, chairs, and television. A conference room is available by prior arrangement for family functions or organization meetings.
Located centrally between the neighborhoods in our facility is a full service café. The Crossroads Cafe offers daily special meals as well as baked goods, sandwiches, and a variety of made-to-order items. Vending machines are also available. The café is the social center of the building, and is often busy with friends having coffee, visiting, or playing cards or other games.
A full-time chaplain is available to all residents and employees regardless of denomination or affiliation. The beautiful Good Shepherd Chapel is a place not only for organized religious activities, but also for prayer and quiet reflection on a 24 hour basis. Regularly scheduled interdenominational worship services and Bible study are open to all. Visitors are always welcome. Catholic Mass and Rosary are also offered on a weekly basis. Besides our chaplain, many local clergy are involved in providing worship opportunities on a regular basis. Our chaplain works in concert with a resident’s pastor or clergy person to assure that each person’s spiritual needs are addressed.
The transportation center offers residents the convenience of getting on and off the Ave Maria Village bus, the local transit service, or a private vehicle, in climate-controlled comfort, no matter the weather conditions.
The McCoy Family Suite provides a quiet, private, and comfortable space to spend time with loved ones in the end stages of life.
